celebrated at St Brigid Church at 9AM for the intentions of the Members of the
Knights of Columbus Westbury Council No. 1012.

Educational Scholarship For The New Year
WESTBURY COUNCIL #1012
Scholarship Instructions
PURPOSE:
To provide Financial Assistance to student(s) graduating from 8th Grade who are dependent children or
grandchildren of members in good standing of Westbury Council 1012 and have committed to further their
Catholic School education. The scholarship will be awarded to eligible students graduating in the spring
and attending a Catholic High School in the fall. The award will be paid directly to the Catholic High
School.
AWARD:
The scholarship award amount is a one time award of between $200 and $500. The amount of the
scholarship awards will vary depending on the number of qualifying applicants and funding availability.
Scholarships are awarded based their service activities to the church and community and why a Catholic
education is important to them. Decision by the representatives of the Scholarship Committee is final.
REQUIREMENTS:
1) Completed and signed Application
2) Proof of acceptance, registration and attendance at a Catholic High School for the fall semester.
3) Signature of parent is required to certify the accuracy to the responses made on the application.
4) A 1-1 '/a page essay, composed by the applicant, describing his or her service activities within the
applicant's church, school and community and why a Catholic education is important to them.
5) Handwritten or typed entries are acceptable

NOT BE CONSIDERED AND NO DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED WILL BE RETURNED
